Birds of the Great Lakes Seaway Trail Quilt Show Winners Announced

 

The Seaway Trail Foundation has announced the winners of its 2008 Feathers and Fowl: Birds of the Great Lakes Seaway Trail Quilt Show Competition. The winners are selected by Viewers’ Choice balloting by show visitors.

First prize of $200 was awarded to Anne M. Fischer of Springwater, NY, for her quilt of a birds and a fox titled “Reynard’s Choice.”

The second most favorite quilt was “Birds in Full View” by Alice Wilhoit of McKinney, Texas. The quilt shows birds as seen through a window. Second prize was $150.

Show visitors selected “Roger’s Heron” by Liz Funnell of Watertown, NY, for a third prize of $100.

Patty Blickwedehl of South Colton, NY, earned honorable mention and $50 for her “Feathered Friends.”
