Sackets Harbor, NY – Herta Wilson of Adams, NY, shared three of her quilted works at the Circles and Wheels on the Byway Quilt Show in Sackets Harbor, NY, for National Quilting Day weekend. Snail’s Trail (seen here), Grandmother’s Garden with Curved Handles, and Cathedral Windows were on display at the annual March event at the Great Lakes Seaway Trail Discovery Center.

Wilson, who has attended quilt guild gatherings in Watertown and LaFargeville, remembers beginning her sewing experience with her mother’s treadle foot sewing machine.

“When I bought my first electric sewing machine, it came with lessons, and I have taken advanced dressmaking tailoring lessons. All that came in handy when I was raising a family,” she says.

To see the quilts selected as the Viewer’s Choice at the show, go online to the Seaway Trail Quilting Page. #
