Description:

PRESERVING AND PROMOTING TRADITIONAL ARTS AND HANDSCRAFTS - The educational programs, hands-on classes, lectures, and exhibits at the museum complex are all designed to encourage the art of handcrafts and pass on this tradition. The collections, the library, and the archives offer a source of inspiration for handweavers. The museum complex also offers classes in basketry, ceramics, painting, carving, and many other handcrafts.

PERMANENT COLLECTION - The museum's permanent collection includes textiles from all over the world, from ancient time to present day. The focus is on 20th Century American handwoven textiles. Visitors can see many of these textiles in the museum's gallery. The museum is also home to the Berta Frey Memorial Library. This library contains books and original documents on textiles and is available to researchers.
